Last year Meta opened the gates. Posts from instagram, facebook and threads can now be crawled and indexed by Google.
Two things needed to rank a Facebook post in Google
To rank a facebook post you need one of two things:
- A public facebook group.. one you own or one you can post in
- A company page you own
Then you just post. Simple as that.
Leading keyword in the Facebook post will rank in Google
There is a detail you want to remember. The keyword you want to rank for has to be leading.
A post with this sentence in the beginning: How to rank Facebook Posts in Google Search and Google Images, will rank for exactly that, because thats the leading keyword.
One last thing. Google doesnt always index facebook posts.. nothing is guaranteed with Google these days. So I run mine through primeindexer to speed things up.
