Social media post indexing tip of the day

Dont send your social media posts to indexers right after you posted. Why? There are two reasons...

First of all, Google is getting very good at picking up and indexing social media posts now. Im seeing this more and more, that I dont have to do anything, and my Facebook, Linked and X posts get picked up and index within a day. Sometimes faster.

The second and more important thing.. Social media posts will get more engagement, likes, shares and comments, the older they are. Google is measuring these things. The more interaction you get, the higher the chance that your posts will index and get shown in Google. They will also index a lot faster if they have engagement.

So, its better to let your posts marinate a day or two, and then try to index them, if they havent shown up in Google...

When you look at Google search results, you can see that Google is showing us how many interactions a certain Facebook post has. I am beginning to notice, that if posts get a lot of comments, a social media carrousel will also be shown on page one in Google.

This carrousel will show discussions on Facebook, Reddit and Linkedin, and will feature your posts with high interaction.

if you do manage to get posts with a high number of interactions, you will notice a benefit: Your posts have a high chance of getting cited in the AI overview.

With regards to the actual indexing, I use primeindexer.com my own indexing tool, it usually does the trick and index my social media posts in a couple of minutes...
