Three step process for parasite SEO

Here is a three step process that I often use, when Im doing parasite seo.

1 - Keyword research. Identify commercial keywords with existing social media posts.

The reason I do this is, if Google is already showing social media posts for a search term, my chance of ranking for that keyword is very good. You can ask Claude or ChatGPT to give you commercial keywords for your topic, and then use common sense to delete the ones that are not on point.

Im using SomePoster for this step, as it can both find the keywords, and search Google to see what social media posts are ranking.

2 - Post about the commercial keywords on social media.

Social media posts from especially LinkedIn, Reddit and Facebook rank very well in Google. I dont take any chances, so Im posting everywhere. Including Youtube community posts, a Substack article, anywhere I can think of. I recommend posting in two steps: To social media first, and then the web2 sites. Insert social media urls in your web 2 sites, for better indexing and ranking. SomePoster also does this, but you can do this manually.

3 - Target the best ranking posts from step 2 with backlinks.

I wait and see what gets indexed, and whats ranking the highest. Typically, but not always, it will be the Linkedin post. Im collecting the urls from the first two pages, and I will use these as backlink targets. The way this works is, I will share these posts on social media, and the more advanced parasite sites, I mention in my Parasite SEO Playbook.

I have noticed that I am seeing my social media posts move one or two positions up instantly by getting backlinked like this. Its time consuming, as much of it is manual work, but its worth it.

The step three is super easy when you are using SomePoster, as you are essentially writing a short post, inserting these urls, and sending it out to your network.

The hard part is writing something thats actually usable and will create engagement, instead of just spamming. Im writing all my posts myself, and I have the experience now in writing repeat posts about the same topic, but this is the hardest step of them all.
