User generated content is dominating Google for informational type searches

I just searched for How to make money online. It has 223.000 monthly searches according to Ahrefs.

I took a screenshot and marked all the places I could see user generated content from some form of social media.

Out of 12 possible places to click, 10 of them are to user generated content on social media.

5 to Youtube

3 to Reddit

2 to Medium

While this is not a new development, its still a surprise to many people, that you can actually dominate Google search now, only by posting to social media.

The top two places to post are still Reddit and Youtube. I especially recommend Youtube, because it gets its own special place in the serps with the video carrousel, as well as several places in the AI overview. Many times I also see a single video ranking in the standard blue links...

Is it a surprise to you, that posting to social media can get you rankings for terms with actual search volume?
